I had tried the fix-it before but this time it worked! I was able to install I thought the office disc and thought all was well. However, now I can't open anything by left clicking the start button, even though it does turn blue, and right clicking gives me the usual options.
Also, I no longer have the Microsoft Edge icon on my taskbar and it seems to have disappeared altogether, as has the office installation. I opened programs and features and even though it completely installed its not in the list of programs. In other words I am much worse of now than before. Scottgem MVP. This topic is for question about Microsoft Access the database, not access to Microsoft products. You both need to repost your question under the Office Installation topic. In reply to Scottgem's post on July 30, I didn't actually post it under Microsoft Access. I posted it under Office I can see my post there. How it came to be under Microsoft Access also has nothing to do with me.

In reply to Jomel Ber's post on October 4, I am sorry this is still not working. Is there a way to go back to Office 7? This is serious for me as I cannot work. More help is greatly appreciated. Side note: I went back a couple days for a roll back. It brought back my MS programs, but everytime I opened a doc it kept trying to re-install and then did nothing.
